Beijing hosted the 20th meeting of the Security Council Secretaries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States in Beijing, BelTA learned from the State Secretariat of the Security Council of Belarus.

As of 1 June 2025, a total of 146,512 large families have opened deposit accounts in Belarus under the family capital program, including 82,600 deposit accounts to the total amount of $826 million and 63,200 deposit accounts to the total amount of Br1.68 billion, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Labor and Social Security Ministry.

Belarus’ security chief, Aleksandr Volfovich, held multiple meetings at a Moscow security forum, where many countries, especially from the Global South and East, showed strong interest in Belarus’ experience with security and countering Western sanctions.

President Lukashenko congratulated Belarus’ Border Guard Service on Border Guard Day, praising their bravery and dedication amid global instability. He emphasized modernizing border security and thanked all personnel for protecting the country.

Sergeyenko at CSTO PA stressed unity’s importance for security, referencing WWII victory and ongoing collaboration.

Upon instructions of the president the State Secretariat of the Security Council has started a test of the Belarusian army’s combat readiness, representatives of the Defense Ministry told BelTA.
