Belarusian banks continue to actively support the economy with the national currency, BelTA learned from the National Bank of Belarus.

By leveraging artificial intelligence, banks can achieve a higher level of security for their clients’ data, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of Belarus Aleksandr Yegorov said at the International Banking Council meeting held in Minsk to discuss the opportunities and risks of applying artificial intelligence in the banking system, BelTA has learned.

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko convened a meeting with the management of Belarus’ National Bank and the heads of commercial banks on 9 September to outline key areas and priorities for the country’s banking and financial system, BelTA has learned. 

In Kyrgyzstan, EAEU central banks convened to discuss the economic situation, monetary policy, countercyclical capital buffers, ESG approaches, and cyber security, also holding bilateral meetings.
