Belarus and the UAE have signed an intergovernmental agreement on trade in services and investment. The document was signed by Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Natalya Petkevich and UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, BelTA has learned.

Belarus and the UAE are expanding trade beyond timber, milk, and feed additives to include textile products. The first deal involved Belarusian linen being sold to an Emirati textile manufacturer.

Belarus and the UAE will collaborate to combat human trafficking and other crimes, including joint training programs and a focus on child protection.

Belarus and UAE discussed trade and investment, including a potential free trade zone.
