«In May, 1,015 apartment purchase and sale transactions were registered in Minsk. This is lower than the April result (1104), but some of the deals will still be finalized in June, so the final figure for May will be higher,» the committee said. 

Grodno became the leader among regional centers in terms of the number of transactions in May — 240, which exceeds the level of April. A decrease was recorded in other regional centers. In Gomel, the number of transactions returned to normal levels — there was a surge in April, when the figure exceeded 200 for the first time since the beginning of the year. In Brest and Vitebsk, there was a decline after active March and April.

Only transactions in which the entire apartment (1/1 share) in an apartment building was sold were taken into account, the State Property Committee explained. Share transactions (1/2, 1/4, etc.) were not counted.
