Plans are in place to launch the plants to assemble Belarusian tractors and trucks in Myanmar in the first quarter of 2027, Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin said during the Belarusian-Myanmar Business Forum in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

In order to make a qualitative leap forward in the development of Belarusian-Myanmar cooperation, Aleksandr Turchin proposed that Myanmar’s business community focus on several key areas. «First is the transition from simple trade operations to deep industrial cooperation. Unlike many of your other partners, we are ready to implement projects based on the localization of production in Myanmar of a wide range of sought-after goods. Belarus offers Myanmar not merely to buy finished equipment, but, relying on Belarusian technologies, to work jointly on creating added value within your country. We have a clear schedule: to launch assembly plants for tractors and trucks in Myanmar already in the first quarter of 2027. The Belarusian side will fulfill its obligations on time. We are also ready to expand the range of finished product supplies, from passenger electric transport for your cities to utility and special-purpose vehicles,» he said.
