In the final match of the preliminary round, the Belarusians defeated the Turkish club Arena Bulls with a score of 33-27. Earlier, Minsk routed Uzbekistan’s HYPER HOOPS 40-21, edged out the Russian team Triada 28-27, and convincingly beat Spain’s Valencia Basket 30-22. Minsk advanced to the superfinal, where they will face Croatia’s Nitui from Zagreb on 13 June. At the competition in the Kazakh capital, the Minsk team, coached by Yan Marinin, includes Aleksei Baldin, Tsimafei Paraliou, Vaclav Bugaev, and Siarhei Sukhanau.
In phygital football, the Minsk athletes first defeated Türkiye’s Misa Esport by a large margin, 13-2, and then lost to Argentina’s NS Team 3-6. In the round of 16, the Belarusians will face Uzbekistan’s Olympic.
This tournament serves as a qualifying stage for the Games of the Future, which will take place in Astana on 29 July — 9 August.
