The head of state emphasized the importance of modernizing the army’s equipment after completing the state armament program for 2021-2025, while outlining goals in this area for the next five-year period. «It is important that the implementation of the program has allowed us to increase the share of modern weaponry in the Armed Forces to almost half — 45% over five years. Meanwhile, the proportion of annually renewed equipment increased to 2%. We can state that the measures we are taking ensure our weapons and military equipment remain combat-ready,» Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
