Belarus’ Harnasko wins bronze at World Challenge Cup in Portugal

Belarusian rhythmic gymnast Alina Harnasko won a medal at the first stage of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup in Portimão, Portugal, BelTA has learned.



The leader of the national team reached the podium in the ribbon event. In the final, Alina Harnasko placed third with a score of 28.100 points, finishing behind Italy’s Tara Dragas and Cyprus’ Vera Tugolukova. The Belarusian also finished fifth in clubs and seventh in ball. A day earlier, Alina placed among the top five in the all-around.

Another Belarusian gymnast Nikol Leuta also competed in Portugal. She placed sixth in the ribbon final and eighth in the ball event. In the all-around, she finished 16th out of 55 participants.

The second stage of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup will take place in Beijing on 19-21 June.
