Agriculture and Food Minister Yuri Gorlov, as part of the government delegation, took part in the Belarus‑Indonesia business forum held in Jakarta. A tasting of products from leading Belarusian dairy and meat processing enterprises was organized for forum participants.
On the sidelines of the forum, Yuri Gorlov held talks with Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto. The parties agreed to continue joint efforts to ensure Indonesia’s food security, facilitate mutual market access for agricultural goods, and step up business visits. The Belarusian side also proposed exploring cooperation in agricultural education, based at four agricultural higher education institutions in the country.
At present, 17 Belarusian dairy processing enterprises are certified for supplies to Indonesia, 13 of which underwent on‑site inspections by the Indonesian side this year. Work is underway to expand the list of certified facilities and to organize beef supplies.
