Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs of the House of Representatives Sergei Rachkov noted that stable relations have been established between Belarus and Iran. Minsk regards Tehran as one of its key partners in the Middle East. «We have a good history of bilateral cooperation, which is defined by the leaders of our states. Cooperation between our countries is growing across all areas: politics, trade and economy, and humanitarian matters. We devote a great deal of attention to interaction in international organizations. Trade between the countries grew by 3% in 2025. Iran is interested in our technologies. We are continuing work on industrial cooperation, in particular the establishment of production facilities for heavy-duty dump trucks, commercial vehicles, and grain harvesters. Cooperation in the field of food security is also gaining momentum,» he said.
Friendly relations have also been established between the parliaments of the two countries. Humanitarian cooperation is growing in education and healthcare. «Despite the fact that the situation in the Middle East is not easy, both countries are interested in developing tourism as well. Looking ahead, we would like to see a direct air route opened between our capitals,» Sergei Rachkov said.
