Belarus issues over 3,000 e-visas since digital service launch

More than 3,000 foreigners have used Belarus’ e-visa service since its launch, BelTA learned from the National Center for Electronic Services.

Foreigners and stateless individuals can enter Belarus with an electronic visa. The service has been available on the E-Pasluga website and mobile app since 20 March 2025. It is available to residents of 67 countries, including the United States of America, Canada, EU countries, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and the UK.

To obtain a visa, applicants need to create a personal account on the website or in the app. Registration is done via email, phone number, or through Google and Apple accounts. Then the user submits a visa application. Application processing takes up to seven calendar days. Applicants must provide accurate and complete information in the form. Errors in the data may lead to visa refusal and a ban on entry into the country.

The decision on the application is sent to the personal account. An e-visa is valid for a single entry and can be issued for a maximum of 30 days. It can be obtained for business trips, tourism, private visits, or participation in sports and scientific events. When entering Belarus and during their stay, foreign visitors must show the visa upon request of the inspecting authorities. The user can provide the required document on a smartphone screen or print it out.

If visitors stay in Belarus for an extended period, they are required to register at their place of residence. This can be done in person at a citizenship and migration department or online. To register online, users need to log in to their personal account on E-Pasluga and find the service with code 200.12.14.1. The application must be submitted within 10 days of arriving in the country. A regular username and password are sufficient to access the system.

The foreigner fills in an electronic form, attaches the required documents and sends them to the migration authority. The system makes a decision in real time. The response is sent to the personal account as an electronic notification, indicating whether registration has been approved or denied. Users must check the status of their application in their account. Since the service was launched, more than 3,000 foreigners have used the e-visa service. About 38,000 foreign visitors have completed online registration.

The website is becoming increasingly popular. Over 110 million services were delivered via the portal in H1 2026.
