The meeting took place at the Belarusian Railways management office. The Kazakh side was represented by the leadership of subsidiaries KTZ-Express and Kedentransservice, while the Belarusian side included heads of relevant departments of the Belarusian railways management, the state enterprise Belintertrans, and TransRail-BCH. The roundtable brought together around 40 leading enterprises of Belarus, including representatives of the forestry, woodworking, food industries, the machinery manufacturing sector, as well as the Belarusian Association of International Forwarders, and transport and logistics companies.

Head of Belarusian Railways Valery Verenich emphasized that the meeting opens up prospects for identifying growth points and creating new routes, as well as for optimizing logistics and tariff conditions for rail transportation.

The logistics and transport capabilities of Kazakhstan Railways were showcased for freight operations on the Belarus-Kazakhstan route and for transit across both countries’ territories. The parties discussed the future of ongoing projects and modern transport-logistics solutions, and shared their views and proposals on further developing freight traffic between Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Considerable attention was paid to ensuring the unimpeded passage of goods from Belarus to Kazakhstan, as well as to China and Central Asia via transit through Kazakhstan, including as part of container trains.

Following the meeting, further steps for cooperation were outlined, aimed at improving the efficiency of joint work and implementing new areas of cooperation in railway logistics to support a multi-vector policy for the export of products from Belarusian enterprises.
