In the −68kg final match, Ksenia lost to Russian Alina Shevchenko. On the way to the final, the Belarusian wrestler defeated Poland’s Karolina Domaszuk (9-4), Venezuela’s Gilbery Garcia Franco (11-7) and Japan’s Ray Hoshino (4-0). Ksenia is a two-time European champion among youth and a medalist of the world U17 and U20 championships.

Aryna Dzemchanka (-57kg) has become a finalist at the U23 world championships. In las Vegas the Belarusian athlete defeated peers from Canada, Norway, and Japan. In the gold medal match on the night of 17 October, Aryna will face Tindra Dalmyr of Sweden. Another Belarusian, Yana Tretsiak (-62kg), will compete in the consolation tournament; to reach the bronze medal match, she needs to get past two opponents.
