According to operational data as of 25 September, potatoes have been harvested from 43% of the country’s areas. A total of 317,000 tonnes of potatoes have been dug up, with an average yield of 338 centners per hectare. By region: Mogilev Oblast — 86,000 tonnes, Minsk Oblast — 77,000 tonnes, Brest Oblast — 66,000 tonnes, Gomel Oblast — 35,000 tonnes, Grodno Oblast — 31,000 tonnes, Vitebsk Oblast — 22,000 tonnes.
Grain harvest including rapeseed amounted to 9.253 million tonnes.
A total of 1,262,000 hectares have been ploughed for sowing winter grain crops, which is 84% of the 1,500,000-hectare plan. Winter grain crops for grain have been sown by all regions of the country on an area of 872,000 hectares — 58% of the plan.
Flax straw has been harvested from 40,000 hectares, which accounts for 91% of the planned areas. The turning of flax swaths has been completed on 23,000 hectares, representing 54% of the pulled flax. Concurrently, 138,000 tonnes of flax straw have been procured.
Corn for silage has been harvested from 44% of the areas.
The following have been procured: hay — 603,000 tonnes, which is 84% of the plan; haylage — 12,771,000 tonnes (89%); silage — 8,680,000 tonnes (42%); grass feed — 6,255,000 tonnes of feed units (62%).
The availability of mineral fertilizers (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium) for winter sowing stands at 194% of the plan.
Sugar beet has been harvested from an area of 37,000 hectares, which is 34% of the plan. A total of 1,659,000 tonnes of sugar beet have been dug up, with an average yield of 451 centners per hectare. By region: Minsk Oblast — 682,000 tonnes, Grodno Oblast — 570,000 tonnes, Brest Oblast — 248,000 tonnes, Mogilev Oblast — 140,000 tonnes, Vitebsk Oblast — 18,000 tonnes, Gomel Oblast — 1,000 tonnes.
In total, 59,000 tonnes of vegetables grown in open ground have been harvested across the country. The sown areas amount to almost 3,000 hectares, with 42% already harvested.
