«At the meeting with my colleague, the minister of foreign affairs [of Indonesia], we touched upon a wide range of issues of political cooperation, mutual support on international platforms, and the things that matter to our people. We discussed that in the very near future Indonesia will take a closer look at the issue of exempting Belarusian citizens from the need to obtain a visa at the airport for visits of up to 30 days. This would be a very good opportunity to expand people-to-people contacts. In addition, we are expecting a response from the Indonesian side to our proposal to launch a direct flight. This would also be good news for tourists and business representatives,» the minister said.
According to Maxim Ryzhenkov, the Indonesian side intends to open its diplomatic mission in Minsk. «Having diplomatic presence is a very good instrument for developing the entire range of relations,» the minister noted.
