Belarus raised all categories of labor pensions: old-age, retirement, disability, and survivor pensions on 1 September 2026, BelTA learned from the press service of the Labor and Social Protection Ministry of Belarus.

As a result of the recalculation, the average labor pension has increased by about 5%. This is the second increase this year. The first one was made on 1 February by 10%.

The average old-age pension in September 2026 will amount to Br1,125. The year-on-year increase (September 2026 compared to September 2025) will be Br145, or 14.8%.

«The size of the increase in the labor pension will vary for each pensioner, depending on the length of service and the amount of earnings taken into account when calculating their pension and also any additional payments established on top of the basic pension. The pensions have been recalculated for both non-working and working pensioners,» the ministry emphasized.

The ministry also noted that the pension increase will be carried out automatically. There is no need to visit pension offices, and no notifications or phone calls will be made.

In total, pension expenditures for September will amount to approximately Br2.6 billion, of which Br125 million have been allocated for the pension increase. According to the ministry, labor pensions in Belarus are paid to more than 2.3 million pensioners.
