A delegation of Astrakhan Oblast led by Governor Igor Babushkin is taking part in the 13th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia. The meeting of the working group was held on the sidelines of the forum. The Belarusian side was headed by Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Lyakhnovich.

«The parties noted positive trends in the development of trade and economic ties between Belarus and Astrakhan Oblast. The participants discussed promising projects and identified new growth areas for expanding cooperation in manufacturing, construction, trade, housing and utilities services, education and culture,» the Ministry of Transport and Communications said. 

Following the talks, the parties signed the protocol of the working group meeting.
