«The forum became an important event within the Year of Industrial Cooperation between the two countries. The event, organized with the support of relevant ministries, embassies, and chambers of commerce, demonstrated a high level of interest from Chinese businesses in Belarusian processed products,» the press service noted.
The event brought together 21 enterprises from all regions of Belarus, representing the meat, dairy, fruit and vegetable, and other processing sectors. The Chinese side was represented by more than 180 companies and 14 industry associations.
The business program included presentation sessions, B2B negotiations, and expert discussions. Over two days, more than 130 meetings and negotiations were held, during which the parties discussed logistics, certification, marketing promotion, and the adaptation of Belarusian products to the requirements of Chinese consumers.
As a result of the forum, Belarusian enterprises signed 15 commercial contracts totaling over $70 million. The documents provide for the supply of dairy products, meat delicacies, confectionery, and other high value-added goods.
In addition, a number of key agreements were reached on initiating enterprise registration procedures and launching pilot product batches. These steps create a foundation for systematically increasing exports in the medium term. For some Belarusian enterprises, this was their first experience of direct dialogue with representatives of Chinese retail chains and distribution companies.
