Twelve Belarusian athletes will compete at the 2026 European Taekwondo Championships that are kicking off in Munich, Germany, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian team will be represented in Germany by eight men and four women. On Tuesday in Munich, Valeriya Smychkova (-62 kg), Raman Turavinau (-80 kg), and two-time world championship medalist and Paris Olympian Georgii Gurtsiev (-58 kg) will take the stage.

Yulia Vitko (-57 kg), Maksim Bandarevich (-63 kg), and Daniil Yurkou (-67 kg) will compete on Wednesday. On the final day, 14 May, bouts will be held by Maryia Strunets (-49 kg), Palina Mikhalchuk (+73 kg), Yahor Kazlou (-54 kg), and Yauheni Shadzeuski (-74 kg).

The medalists included Yulia Vitko, Maryia Strunets, and Georgii Gurtiev, while Sarmat Tsakoev claimed victory in the −68 kg weight category.
