The Belarusian team will be represented in Germany by eight men and four women. On the first competition day, 11 May, Matsvei Miatlitski (-68 kg) and world championship medalist Artsiom Plonis (+87 kg) will compete for the honors. On Tuesday in Munich, Valeriya Smychkova (-62 kg), Raman Turavinau (-80 kg), and two-time world championship medalist and Paris Olympian Georgii Gurtsiev (-58 kg) will take the stage.
Yulia Vitko (-57 kg), Maksim Bandarevich (-63 kg), and Daniil Yurkou (-67 kg) will compete on Wednesday. On the final day, 14 May, bouts will be held by Maryia Strunets (-49 kg), Palina Mikhalchuk (+73 kg), Yahor Kazlou (-54 kg), and Yauheni Shadzeuski (-74 kg).
At last year’s European Taekwondo Championship in Olympic weight categories in Switzerland, Belarusian athletes won four medals — one gold, one silver, and two bronze. The medalists included Yulia Vitko, Maryia Strunets, and Georgii Gurtiev, while Sarmat Tsakoev claimed victory in the −68 kg weight category.

Twelve Belarusian athletes will compete at the 2026 European Taekwondo Championships that are kicking off in Munich, Germany, BelTA has learned.
