The initiative is aimed at fulfilling the head of state’s instructions to ensure high-quality and uninterrupted retail services for rural residents. The project was approved by the council for development projects under the Ministry of Communications and Informatization.
The new functionality will complement the ecosystem of services of the Smart City platform. The service under development will automate notifications for rural residents about mobile shops: users will receive push notifications about the scheduled arrival time of a mobile shop, possible delays, new routes and changes to the schedule.
«For the state, this provides end-to-end real-time monitoring of compliance with social standards, an objective assessment of the efficiency of rural retailers, and guaranteed coverage of all remote communities. For businesses, it enables automatic creation and optimization of logistics routes, minimizes vehicle downtime and reduces empty runs,» the ministry said.
The new service will become available to residents of Grodno Oblast by the end of 2027 and, following pilot testing, will be rolled out nationwide.
