In the opening match of preliminary Group B, the Belarusian national team will face nine-time Euroleague winners Portugal (kick-off at 16:15), followed by a match against five-time champions Spain on 10 September (kick-off at 17:45), and a final group match against Switzerland on 11 September (kick-off at 15:00). All Belarusian matches will be broadcast live on Belarus 5 TV channel.

Before departing for Italy, the Belarusian squad, coached by Spanish specialist Nicolás Alvarado, held a training camp at the Olimpiyski sports and recreation center in Minsk. The traveling squad includes 14 players: goalkeepers — Mikhail Avgustov, Mikita Melnichenka, Uladzimir Ustsinovich; outfield players — Ihar Bryshtsel, Aleh Hapon, Yahor Hardzetski, Artsemi Drozd, Aliaksandr Kirylau, Ivan Kanstantsinau, Yauheni Novikau, Yury Piatrouski, Anatoliy Ryabko, Mikita Chaikouski, and Maksim Yablonski.

Group A features Italy, Denmark, Germany, and Moldova. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals. The semifinals will take place on 12 September, with the final and bronze medal matches scheduled for 13 September.

In the qualifying round of the current season, held in late May in El Puerto de Santa María, Spain, the Belarusian beach soccer team finished third in qualifying Group B. In the first stage, they routed Türkiye (10-2) and the Czech Republic (8-3), but lost to Portugal (4-5). In the semifinals, Belarus fell to Spain (4-6), and in the third-place match they defeated Switzerland 6-4.

In the previous season, the Belarusian national team became bronze medalists of the Euroleague for the third consecutive time, and in 2021 they won silver in the main continental tournament. Last year, Italy defeated Spain in the Euroleague final. Portugal has won nine times, Spain and Russia have five titles each, Italy has four, Switzerland has two, and Ukraine, France, and Germany have one each.
