Demand for Belarusian-made cars has been steadily rising since the start of the year. A surge came in July, when sales jumped by nearly 30%. In August, the upward trend continued, with an additional 16% growth compared to the previous month.

The BELGEE X50+ crossover once again topped the market, accounting for more than 1,750 deals in Belarus in August. Although the model only launched at the end of April, over 5,100 units have already been sold to date. The BELGEE S50 sedan also set a record in August, with more than 1,300 cars sold on the domestic market alone.

Belarus has also seen record growth in demand for green transport. For the first time, the BELGEE plant sold more than 2,150 electric and hybrid vehicles in the country. The standout performer was the Geely EX2, which over 1,100 Belarusians choosing it in August.

«Belarus is currently setting new sales records for automobiles, on a scale never seen before. Demand is growing across the entire Belarusian market, but first and foremost for locally produced models. Petrol sedans and crossovers remain traditionally popular, especially the BELGEE X50+, which has become this year’s favorite. However, interest has also intensified in electric vehicles, which are now enjoying widespread public support. Consumers want innovative, comfortable, and at the same time affordable cars,» the company noted.

The plant attributes the record sales volumes to an expanded model range, flexible pricing, policies and accessible financing programs. Banking programs, in particular, played a major role.

The plant near Borisov is currently preparing to expand and deepen production. A new stamping shop with an area of over 5,000 square meters is being built on the premises of BELGEE. It will produce large exterior body parts, including front and rear doors, side panels, fenders, trunk lids, bonnets, roofs, and other components.
