Belarusian gasoline sales soar on St. Petersburg exchange

The total volume of gasoline sales produced by Belarusian refineries at the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) in May of this year reached 23,640 tonnes, which was 26 times higher than a year earlier (900 tonnes), the Russian news agency TASS reported citing the National Exchange Pricing Agency.



It is noted that compared to April 2026, the volume of Belarusian gasoline sales at the exchange trading in May increased by 3,360 tonnes, or 16.6%.

According to the agency, the sales volume of diesel fuel produced by Belarusian refineries at the exchange in May of this year amounted to 49,860 tonnes, compared to 15,540 tonnes a year earlier, which represents a threefold increase year-on-year. Compared to April 2026, diesel sales volumes also increased significantly — 15,120 tonnes were sold in April.

«The sale of Belarusian products supports the supply of fuel to the domestic Russian market during periods of high demand (for example, the sales of Belarusian gasoline peaked in October-December, ranging from 35,340 tonnes to 37,200 tonnes),» the agency noted
