The MP emphasized that the legislative initiative is driven by real-life experiences. For instance, during one of her meetings, she was approached by a man who shared that his pregnant wife was not allowed to take time off from work to undergo medical examinations.
«Currently, labor laws do not grant time off from work for mandatory medical exams. We have already done some preliminary work on this issue within our specialized committees. I have also discussed this matter with the Healthcare Ministry. Hopefully, once this bill comes to the floor, I will push for introducing such an amendment to our Labor Code,» Anzhelika Kurchak stated.
