Also on 18 May, Aliaksandra Sasnovich will play her opening match against American Whitney Osuigwe. On Tuesday, 19 May, Belarusian Iryna Shymanovich will meet Latvia’s Darja Semenistaja. To reach the 128-player main draw, the athletes must win three qualifying rounds.
World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka will begin her campaign in Paris from the first round (1/64 finals), where she will face one of the qualifiers. Last year, Aryna Sabalenka reached the Roland Garros final, where she lost to American Coco Gauff.
