OJSC BELAZ and the mining and metallurgical company Nornickel signed an agreement at the INNOPROM international industrial trade fair in Yekaterinburg for the supply of the latest BELAZ underground machinery models for pilot industrial testing.

The document was signed by Sergey Lesin, Director General of OJSC BELAZ, and Andrey Skokov, Deputy Director for Self-Propelled Equipment Supply at the Polar Division of Nornickel.

The agreement builds upon the strategic arrangements reached by the companies in 2025. Under this agreement, BELAZ and Nornickel will continue the joint development of specialized, high-tech underground machinery that is independent of imports.

The document provides for the delivery this year of a 45-tonne BELAZ-75855 underground dump truck and a BELAZ-79550 loader-hauler with a 17.2-tonne capacity for testing in Nornickel’s mine workings.
