Belneftekhim commented on whether there is an increase in demand for fuel in the border regions of Belarus. «Monitoring of the situation on the domestic petroleum products market, including border regions, is carried out by the concern on a planned and ongoing basis. Fluctuations in demand in these areas are a natural process, driven by a combination of various factors, including seasonal activity, the intensity of transit traffic flows, and overall market activity. Currently, the supply to the filling station network is being carried out smoothly,» Belneftekhim reported.
The topic of stable fuel supply to the country’s population, including in the context of so-called fuel tourism, was also addressed. «Issues of ensuring the country’s energy and fuel security are a priority area of the concern’s activities. The production capacities of Belarusian oil refineries allow for fully meeting the needs of the domestic market, taking into account any market fluctuations. The stability of fuel supply to the country’s population and enterprises is maintained through established reserves and precise production planning. The current situation is characterized by controlled stability, and the interests of domestic consumers remain a key focus in the industry’s operations,» Belneftekhim said.
A separate focus was placed on the matter of fuel prices. «The procedure for fuel sales and pricing on the domestic market of Belarus are regulated by current legislation and relevant regulatory legal acts. Currently, work is being carried out within the framework of established regulations. Any decisions concerning the improvement of the fuel market’s functioning mechanisms are made based on a comprehensive analysis of the social and economic interests of the state and in accordance with the procedure established by law,» Belneftekhim said.
