Piotr Parkhomchik said: «The country sees the plant as a producer of lamp bulbs. It should satisfy the domestic demand and export competitive products. It is the task the president wants accomplished. Once you have automation and robotization, you will have competitive products.» At present electric bulbs account for about 40% of the output. The Brest Oblast governor urged the enterprise to work out a concrete development program. «The key task is to keep the bulbs and the competences,» the official said.

Prospects of work in the current five-year period, in particular, in 2026-2027 were reviewed during the conference. «Steps have been planned to stabilize our enterprise. They include the acquisition of new equipment, the expansion of the choice of bulbs we make. The development strategy includes household appliances as part of the product range. The property structuring of the enterprise is an important aspect,» said Director of Brest Electric Lamp Plant Sergei Pozhitko.
The company CEO spoke at length about expanding the product choice. «A number of business partners in Russia, Georgia, and Turkmenistan would like us to start making new products. We intend to do it in H2 2026. We are working towards that. For a number of products we intend to buy automatic lines. Both for packaging and for producing the bulbs themselves,» he added.
Brest Electric Lamp Plant is encouraged to make traditional goods. «The plant needs to keep working as an electric bulb manufacturer and has to produce modern bulbs, including LED bulbs. Nobody wants the production of general-purpose incandescent light bulbs or automobile light bulbs phased out. We are going to discuss how to become more competitive, what investments are needed, what is necessary to reduce prime costs, and to offer competitive prices to consumers,» Deputy Chairman of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee Mikhail Batsenko pointed out.

The second aspect is the optimization of the area the enterprise occupies. The enterprise occupies about 10.7 hectares. «Some of the buildings have been sold or rented out. It was a very large plant. At present 12 legal persons operate here. Auctions will take place soon to sell three buildings. I think that new owners will be found for them,» Mikhail Batsenko explained.
The electric lamp plant is located in the central part of the city of Brest. A detailed planning scheme has been drafted. New roads are expected to reduce traffic load
