A business delegation representing companies from Shaanxi Province (China) is seeking promising partnerships and projects in Belarus. The delegation includes representatives of about 15 companies with business interests in mining, chemicals, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic industries, agriculture and water management, beverage production, and projects at the intersection of GameDev and tourism.

The delegation’s visit was organized by the Shaanxi branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the National Agency of Investment and Privatization, and NAIP’s partner — Vice President of the Chinese Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs, Mr. Lei Ning.

On 8 September, a business forum was held at the Beijing Hotel with the participation of Chinese businesspeople and interested Belarusian companies. The forum was attended by heads of the Economy Committee of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee, the Mogilev City Hall, the Mogilev Free Economic Zone, and the Mogilev branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Opening the forum, NAIP Director Aleksei Pushkarev noted that the comprehensive and strategic nature of the Belarus-China partnership is manifested not only in major bilateral and global projects but is also deepening and expanding with every new contract, investment, or cooperation project that multiplies profits and benefits the citizens of both countries. This is the essence of the instructions set out in Presidential Directive No. 9 on the practical implementation of the Belarus-China partnership, and it is precisely the goal of the business forum that took place.

On the sidelines of the forum, memorandums of cooperation were signed between the CCPIT Shaanxi and the Mogilev branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and also between the China Council for the Promotion of the International Trade Xi’an Sub-Council and the Mogilev City Hall. Additionally, an agreement was signed to implement an investment project on the territory of the Mogilev FEZ to establish a China-Belarus cross-border e-commerce logistics center.
