The 2026 Chinese Goods and Services Exhibition kicked off at the BelExpo exhibition center in Minsk on 9 September, BelTA has learned.

The opening ceremony was attended by high-ranking guests, including Belarus’ Industry Minister Andrei Kuznetsov, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lukashevich, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences Aleksei Trukhanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Zhang Wenchuan, and others.

Andrei Kuznetsov noted that the event testifies to the high level of business relations between Belarus and China, and provides an opportunity to become better acquainted with the latest achievements of Chinese manufacturers. «The Chinese Goods and Services Exhibition is not only a platform for showcasing products, but also a venue for dialogue and the formation of long-term business ties,» he said.

According to him, Belarusian-Chinese cooperation in the industrial sector represents a harmony of production expertise and technological innovation, underpinned by friendly relations, which makes it possible to achieve the desired results.

Dating back to the times of the BSSR, the Belarusian side provided all kinds of support to China. «Dozens of Chinese engineers and trainees received training in the workshops of MAZ and MTZ. Some of China’s modern corporations grew out of the technological base that was created with Belarus’ participation,» the minister noted.

Today, the interaction between the two countries in the industrial sector is at a new level. Trade between organizations affiliated with the Industry Ministry and Chinese enterprises has grown tenfold over the past eight years.

«Plans are in place to transit toward deeper cooperation and the creation of advanced joint production facilities, both in Belarus and in China,» Andrei Kuznetsov added.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Belarus Zhang Wenchuan noted that China-Belarus trade and economic cooperation continues to show steady positive momentum. «In 2025, mutual trade in goods between the two countries reached $8.86 billion, which was up by 5.5% year-on-year. In January-July of this year, trade surged by 30.8% from the same period a year prior,» he added.

According to the Ambassador, the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone has achieved impressive results. «It has registered 177 resident companies, and the total volume of investment under signed agreements amounts to $1.6 billion. In 2025, 60 investment projects were implemented between China and Belarus, 52 of which were located within the industrial park,» he explained.

Ambassador Zhang Wenchuan also emphasized that over the years, the exhibition has become not only a window for Chinese enterprises to showcase high-quality products and explore the Belarusian market, but also an important bridge for communication between Chinese and Belarusian companies and for establishing long-term business ties.

The exhibition is celebrating its 5th anniversary and is being held within the framework of the Years of Industrial Cooperation between China and Belarus. The exhibition, with a total area of 10,000 square meters, features over 120 participating companies. The program is packed with events, including forums, business meetings, and enterprise presentations.
