Combat readiness inspection launched at artillery brigade in Belarus on president’s orders

24.08.2026 | 13:50

The inspection of the Armed Forces ordered by the president is continuing at one of the artillery brigades, with particular attention being paid to the assimilation of modern experience in fire engagement and its management, State Secretary of Belarus’ Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich told journalists after delivering the directive to the defense minister, BelTA has learned.

«In the second half of the year, we are continuing the inspection activities in accordance with the relevant plan approved by the head of state,» Aleksandr Volfovich noted.

«The main focus is on combat operations in modern conditions, incorporating the experience of conflicts in Ukraine and Iran into the troop training system, fire engagement and decentralized command,» Aleksandr Volfovich said.

«Unlike the inspections conducted in the first half of the year, where directives were handed directly to units without going through the General Staff, this inspection tests the entire chain of command, from the defense minister down to the lowest-level unit,» he added.

In accordance with the president’s directive, one of the artillery brigades of the Armed Forces under central command has been placed on full combat readiness alert today. The defense minister was issued the order to bring the military unit to combat readiness, including mobilization and the full range of associated measures.
