The document was signed Belarusian Culture Minister Ruslan Chernetsky and Russian Deputy Culture Minister Andrey Malyshev.
«Our plan from last year was fully implemented and even overfulfilled. The plan signed today contains more than 100 items, and I am confident that by the end of the year it will also be overfulfilled,» Ruslan Chernetsky said.
He also informed that a cooperation agreement with Russia’s Tatarstan was signed on 18 March. «This is a historic event for us. Our interaction with Tatarstan is just unfolding; we are beginning, so to speak, to put it on a systemic track. We have much in common with this republic; we share a common worldview, history, and culture. This is why we must develop these relations,» the Belarusian minister noted.
Speaking about the joint board meeting with the Russian Culture Ministry, Ruslan Chernetsky emphasized that participants expressed many opinions, particularly regarding the preservation of historical memory and patriotic education. «We also talked about the fact that we hold many good events, and everyone should know about them, so we need to engage with social media, because that’s where we can reach all the young people. We must communicate our narratives, worldview, perception of the world, and our agenda to the youth in their language,» the minister added.
The Symphony of Innovations made its Belarusian debut on the stage of the Palace of the Republic. The performance was built around a dialogue between outstanding musical geniuses of the past — Sergei Rachmaninoff, Alexander Scriabin, Sergei Prokofiev — with the innovations of the 21st century, demonstrating how advanced technologies can combine with cultural heritage. Belarusian audiences saw a performance featuring a robot conductor working with live artists. The concert was accompanied by the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Honored Artist of Russia Ivan Rudin. «We have brought a unique program. You often hear the expression that nothing like this has ever been done before. And this is truly such a project. Above all, it combines the latest technologies, integrated with music and excellent taste,» the conductor said. The event featured leading Russian soloists, prizewinners of international competitions, including Dmitry Masleev (piano), Vasily Stepanov (cello), and Alexander Klyuchko (piano). The Palace of the Republic also played host to a special thematic exhibition Dialogue of Art and Technology about the lives of the great Russian composers whose works were featured in the Symphony of Innovations. The exposition included living portraits, visual examples of productions, and stories that changed the musical world.
