«Customers choose quality»: Belarusian enterprises deepen ties with Chelyabinsk partners

Enterprises of Belarus and Russia’s Chelyabinsk Oblast have outlined cooperation plans at the business forum in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

According to Deputy Industry Minister of Belarus Denis Bakei, Chelyabinsk Oblast is a reliable, time-tested partner. «We have discussed the supply of Belarusian machinery and the procurement of materials and raw materials from Chelyabinsk Oblast. As noted, our trade has been steadily growing over the past five years,» he emphasized.

Representatives of industrial enterprises from both sides attended the business forum. Denis Bakei emphasized the need for measures to maintain momentum in trade. «We have the capabilities, expertise, and mutual interest. Now we must translate this into practice. For its part, the Industry Ministry, in cooperation with the Chelyabinsk Oblast administration, is ready to provide the necessary support,» the deputy minister added.

Industrial cooperation remains vital for many enterprises in both countries. Oleg Panasyuk, Director General of Keramin, noted that the company has been sourcing some raw materials from Chelyabinsk Oblast for over 35 years. «As an export-oriented enterprise, we also supply our products there. We have a dual interest: first, in the high-quality raw materials abundant in Chelyabinsk’s land; second, in delivering products under our brand. Customers choose us for quality — we’ve preserved the legacy inherited from Soviet times,» the director general stated.
Aleksandr Marchenko, Director General of BATE — the management company of Avtokomponenty Holding Company — noted that one of the holding’s key customers is Ural Automobile Plant in Chelyabinsk Oblast. «Our cooperation began relatively recently. We have signed a long-term partnership program until 2030 for supplying Belarus-made auto components directly to their assembly line. This ensures future deliveries, exports, and sustained growth prospects. The Ural plant will receive our steering mechanisms, various control system sensors, ABS components, drive shafts, shock absorbers, headlights, heaters, starters, and generators. We are currently procuring equipment and expanding our production capacities specifically for this plant. They have ambitious development plans, and we are committed to long-term, productive cooperation,» he explained.
