The new version of the Directive incorporates updated approaches to strengthening public security in light of modern risks and challenges, offering new mechanisms for keeping it up, including in the virtual environment.

The decree regulates priority areas of work for state bodies in the interests of enabling additional conditions to enhance the population’s safety culture, form the necessary skills for socially responsible behavior among citizens, foster a favorable social environment, and promote the harmonious development of the individual.

Priority areas include public order protection, ensuring information security, countering extremism and illicit drug trafficking, and controlling external migration processes. These areas also encompass protecting the population and territories from emergency situations, civil defense, road traffic safety, ecological safety, sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population, and occupational safety.

As before, the central government, the oblast administrations, and the Minsk City Executive Committee will organize and coordinate efforts to implement the Directive by subordinate state bodies and organizations. At the same time, further oversight over its execution will be exercised by the prosecution service.
