«Belarus continues to see steady growth in real wages. In February 2026, they increased by 6.5% year-on-year, following a 6.3% rise in January. The public sector continues to show faster growth, with wages there increasing by 9.6%, surpassing the economy-wide average,» analysts said.
Wage growth is supporting an increase in household disposable income (up by 7.5% in January 2026), which is creating conditions for a further uptake in consumer activity, the EDB noted.
