In the second semifinal, Group 3 hosts Aktobe of Kazakhstan edged Iceland’s Breiðablik 2-0 on penalties following a 1-1 draw after extra time. In the first semifinal clash, Dinamo-BSUPC fell 0-3 to Swiss Servette from Geneva. The first half ended goalless, but the Minsk team conceded three goals after the break. Consequently, on 7 August, Yury Maleyew’s squad will face Breidablik in the third-place play-off, while Servette and Aktobe will battle for a spot in the Champions League third qualifying round. The teams finishing as runners-up in the four qualifying groups will transfer to the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup second qualifying round. Meanwhile, the third-placed teams will enter the first qualifying round of the Women’s Europa Cup.

Last season, Belarus was represented in the Women’s Champions League by FC Dinamo-BSUPC and FC Minsk. Both teams failed to reach the group stage, bowing out in the second qualifying round. Spain’s Barcelona emerged as champions, thrashing French Lyon 4-0 in the final.
