15.07.2026 | 10:45

FC ML Vitebsk are set to face Romanian side FC U Craiova in the return match of the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round, BelTA has learned.

The match in Craiova, Romania, will be officiated by a Hungarian refereeing crew led by Márton Rúsz. Last week, FC ML Vitebsk suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat in their nominally home game in Mezőkövesd, Hungary, and will look to bounce back on 15 July. The aggregate winner of this tie will advance to the Champions League second round to face Bulgaria’s PFC Levski Sofia. The losing side will drop into the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round, where they will meet the loser of the FC Kairat Almaty (Kazakhstan) vs FK Sutjeska Nikšić (Montenegro) tie. FC Kairat Almaty won their home leg 2-1.

Two more Belarusian representatives in European competitions will play their Conference League qualification second-leg matches on 16 July. Belarusian Cup holders FC BATE Borisov will host Albania’s KF Elbasani in Sumqayit, Azerbaijan. The first leg in Albania ended in a 1-1 stalemate. Should they progress on aggregate, FC BATE Borisov will set up a tie against Swiss FC Sion. The country’s runners-up, FC Dinamo Minsk, will look to redeem themselves in Skopje following a 1-0 defeat to North Macedonia’s FK Sileks in the Bulgarian city of Stara Zagora. The winner of this two-legged battle will progress to the second round to face FC Neftchi Baku.
