«First cut was completed across an area of 1.334 million hectares, or 96% of the plan (which stands at 1.390 million hectares). Hay production has reached 212,000 tonnes, or 30% of the target,» the press service informed.
Silage output has reached 8.108 million tonnes or 57% of the target of 14.309 million tonnes.
Region-by-region silage figures: Minsk Oblast — 2.024 million tonnes (58% of target); Brest Oblast — 1.469 million tonnes (49%); Grodno Oblast — 1.411million tonnes (52%); Mogilev Oblast — 1.223 million tonnes (74%); Gomel Oblast — 999,000 tonnes (65%); and Vitebsk Oblast — 982,000 tonnes (51%).
Corn silage stands at 260,000 tonnes, or just 1% of the target of 20.519 million tonnes. Grass feed totals 2.444 million tonnes of feed units or 24% of the target of 10.131 million tonnes.
