«According to operational data as of 15 June, first cut was completed across an area of 1,112,000 hectares, or 79% of the plan (which stands at 1,407,000 hectares). The pace of field work in the current period significantly exceeds last year’s levels. Some 85% of cut forage was gathered. Agricultural organizations harvested 5.540 million tonnes of haylage or 39% of the plan (14.309 million tonnes),» the press service said.
Silage harvest progress by region looks as follows: Minsk Oblast — 1,406,000 hectares (40% of planned areas), Brest Oblast — 1,170,000 hectares (39% of plan), Grodno Oblast — over 1,000,000 hectares (40% of plan, almost 1.5 times higher from the same date of last year), Mogilev Oblast — 759,000 hectares (46% of plan), Gomel Oblast — 618,000 hectares (40% of plan), Vitebsk Oblast — 517,000 hectares (27% of plan).
Hay has been prepared in the amount of 61,000 tonnes — 9% of the plan. Agricultural organizations stocked 208,000 tonnes of silage or 1% of the plan; 1.633 million tonnes of feed units of grass or 16% of the plan (10.131 million tonnes).
Mineral fertilizers for spring planting have been accumulated in the amount of 922,000 tonnes of active ingredient (98% of the plan).
