FM: Belarus, Russia have no problematic issues in bilateral agenda

15.06.2026 | 19:10

Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov stated that there were no problematic issues on the two ministries’ agenda as he met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Minsk on 15 June, BelTA has learned.

Maxim Ryzhenkov noted that Sergey Lavrov arrived in Minsk the day before, and they had already spent several hours talking.

«Not a single problematic issue, no acute problem forced its way onto our agenda,» the Belarusian minister of foreign affairs said.

The Belarusian minister of foreign affairs noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the treaty that launched the process of creating the Union State. Over this period, a great deal has been done in the interests of the peoples of Belarus and Russia. And at the foundation of these achievements lies the traditional trust-based dialogue at the highest level, Maxim Ryzhenkov said.

He also noted that established direct contacts and cooperation between the foreign ministries allow the parties to reach mutually acceptable solutions on the full range of integration agenda issues.

«Fruitful interaction between our foreign policy agencies makes a significant contribution to strengthening the Belarusian-Russian strategic partnership and advancing joint initiatives on the international stage,» Maxim Ryzhenkov emphasized.

Regular personal contacts between the Belarusian and Russian foreign ministers have become a good tradition, he said. A number of meetings have already taken place this year. «I highly value the outcomes of these consultations, which took place, as always, in a spirit of mutual support,» the minister said.

He noted the successful implementation of the program of coordinated actions in foreign policy for 2024-2026, the implementation of decisions from the previous joint meeting of the boards of the Belarusian and Russian foreign ministries, as well as the ministerial consultation plan for this year.

«Against the background of today’s geopolitical realities, the positive momentum in our bilateral agenda really stands out. The international situation is still very hard to forecast,» Maxim Ryzhenkov stressed.
