A Belarusian delegation will visit China from 20 to 22 September to take part in a large-scale event organized by the leading public peacekeeping organization, the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament, together with the Hubei Provincial People’s Government. A total of 250 representatives from political organizations, peace groups and security think tanks will come together to promote mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation among nations.
Researchers from Vitebsk Oblast will speak at the international conference «Unity of the Slavic Peoples — a Guarantee of Peace» in Smolensk.
In Belarus, the 3rd Minsk Peace Assembly will take place on 21 September at the Holy Spirit Cathedral. Participants will adopt an address to the peoples and leaders of states on the preservation of peace. Around 800 young peacekeepers will attend, along with representatives of the parliamentary corps, executive authorities, diplomatic missions, the public and the clergy.
The Belarusian Peace Foundation representatives will hold thematic meetings with students, and the status of «School of Peace» will be awarded to Minsk School No. 191 named after Ivan Paromchik. A themed event will take place at the Molodechno Community Center, with parliamentarians taking part. On 23 September, a «March for Peace Across Native Land» will be organized in the town of Komarin, dedicated to the 82nd anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazis. Families whose children are born on 21 September will receive congratulations at maternity wards in Gomel Oblast. Similar celebrations will be held for new parents in all maternity hospitals throughout Grodno Oblast and Brest Oblast.
Peacekeepers and medical professionals in Mogilev Oblast will hold discussions on measures to preserve and improve the health of Belarusian women. On 18 September, around 200 people will gather for the 2nd Regional Forum of Schools of Peace in Mogilev.
To mark the International Day of Peace, Novopolotsk Central City Hospital will open new wards for war and labor veterans. A «School of Peace» will also be launched in Miory on 25 September.
