«Goods exports in the first quarter amounted to $960 million, growing by nearly 14%. In total, goods were shipped to 52 countries. The largest share of exports traditionally goes to the Russian Federation, with a 1.3‑fold increase there. Export deliveries to countries such as Israel, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, the United Arab Emirates, and the Republic of Korea outpaced the regional average,» noted the chairman of the Economics Committee.
According to the official, the largest export growth was seen in petroleum products, dairy and meat products, equipment and mechanical devices, plastic goods, fiberboard panels, and timber. «The export of these goods expanded by more than $200 million,» Mikhail Akunets specified.
Service exports reached $108 million, an increase of over 20%. The chairman of the Economics Committee noted that the largest increases came from construction services, road transport, architectural and engineering services, as well as tourism and others.
