On 1 July, a meeting took place between Grodno Mayor Andrei Khmel and Deputy Mayor of Suining, Sichuan Province, Jia Chaojie, during which the agreement was signed. The document outlines three main areas of cooperation: manufacturing, education, and tourism.

Sichuan Province is one of China’s three key bases for the production of energy equipment and one of the four major bases of the electronic information industry. It is a key province where lithium batteries are produced.
