HC Sochi will play host to the Minsk Bisons. The Sochi squad is struggling, having lost 13 out of their 16 games this season, and sit at the bottom of the Western Conference with six points. Minsk has claimed only a single road victory this season, sitting seventh in the West with 17 points. However, the team gets a boost with Nicolas Aube-Kubel returning to the lineup from injury. The forward netted four goals in seven games early in the regular season.
«The knee feels good, I’m happy to be back and hitting the road with the guys. I’ve actually never been to Sochi,» Nicolas Aube-Kubel said. «We’re going there to win, which will help us boost our confidence on the road. We need to keep it simple and score on quick attacks. The chances are there, it’s just been a bit of bad luck lately.»
