The document approves a new wording of the regulation on the procedure for participation of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) in road traffic which provides for the implementation of the provisions of the EAEU agreement on permissible masses, axle loads, and dimensions ratified by Belarus.

In order to improve the operating conditions for businesses in freight transportation, the resolution provides for, in certain cases of HGVs movement that do not affect road safety, an increase in travel speed during escort to up to 70 km/h. Additionally, restrictions on width, length, and total cargo mass are eliminated when HGVs are accompanied by a pilot vehicle and an escort vehicle.

The resolution takes effect one month after its official publication.
