During his visit to Belarus, the governor is set to tour the Belkommunmash and MAZ enterprises. Alexey Besprozvannykh will not just familiarize himself with the companies’ product offering, but will also discuss specific cooperation proposals.

A big factory to make batteries for electric vehicles is currently under construction in Kaliningrad Oblast. «Electrification of transport is one of our key areas of work today. We have discussed with the industry minister [of Belarus] a task set by the president to scale up electrification in Belarus. We are ready to offer our batteries for Belarus’ electric vehicles and to discuss related joint projects,» Alexey Besprozvannykh said.

He noted that the region purchases various types of equipment from Belarus, including road construction equipment and agricultural machinery.
