Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich said that the meeting touched upon various sectors and areas of activity from agriculture and food supplies to deeper industrial cooperation.

The discussion concerned supplies of Belarusian machinery for agricultural mechanization. A comprehensive approach will be applied, which includes the establishment of service centers for machinery maintenance, personnel training, and later the creation of assembly facilities. «Assembly facilities are not only for agricultural machinery, but also for other types of equipment, including cargo and mining,» Viktor Karankevich clarified.

According to him, healthcare, production of medical and veterinary drugs, both in Belarus and in Indonesia, were also discussed.

«The key task is to involve the maximum number of partners in these projects,» the deputy prime minister said.

Taking part in the meeting from the Indonesian side were the Minister of Investment, Head of the Investment Coordinating Board, and CEO of Indonesia’s state investment agency Danantara Rosan Perkasa Roeslani; Minister of Agriculture and Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) Andi Amran Sulaiman; and President Director of state-owned oil company Pertamina Simon Aloysius Mantiri.

Rosan Perkasa Roeslani noted the very open and trusting nature of the meeting. «We discussed with the Belarusian side matters of further strengthening cooperation. The Belarusian president, in a very open and trusting manner, presented his vision of how to make cooperation between our countries mutually beneficial and how our economies and our efforts could complement each other,» he said. «We are very grateful to the president for proposing not only ways to improve our country’s economy, but also Indonesia’s human capital. Because for us one of the key questions is how we can use our human resources and how to make them more competitive.»

President Director of state-owned oil company Pertamina Simon Aloysius Mantiri said that it was a great honor for him to take part in the meeting with the president of Belarus.

He said that the meeting discussed how to use the existing potential in developing bilateral cooperation. «Besides technologies, personnel training is also very important. We emphasized the importance for us of developing human resources. Therefore, we would like to see strong cooperation in technology and technology transfer, but also in training our people in Indonesia,» Simon Aloysius Mantiri stated.

Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman said that Indonesia is implementing tasks aimed at expanding agricultural production. In crop farming, this includes, for example, rice cultivation. Issues of supplying the necessary machinery for this are currently being discussed with the Belarusian side.

«Our task is to increase productivity and reduce costs. Therefore, I want to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Belarus,» the minister stated.
