According to the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee, Chairman of the Oblast Executive Committee Yuri Karayev sent congratulations to residents and guests of the city. He stressed that today more than 104,000 people live in Lida. «The special pride of Lida District is its people. Those who work in the fields and in factories, teachers, doctors, builders, masters, salesmen, those who create for the benefit of the city, create beauty with their own hands and glorify the city. Lida is rightfully famous for its enterprises that are known and valued far beyond the country’s borders. May new houses be built in Lida, new production facilities open, and new families be created,» he stated.
Aide to the President, Inspector for Grodno Oblast Konstantin Burak joined in the congratulations. He noted that Lida rightfully holds the title of one of the first cities in Belarus that have been awarded a pennant for courage and steadfastness during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. He also emphasized the city’s significant contribution to the economy of the region. Konstantin Burak wished residents and guests of Lida good health, well-being, and prosperity so that the city continues to develop under the peaceful sky of a strong and independent Belarus.
According to the city’s Palace of Culture, the festive program is taking place in several locations. In Lida Castle and near its walls events dedicated to medieval culture await guests from 10:00 to 22:00: a knight camp, interactive drummer shows, historic costume displays, performances by the Batleika Theater, and photo zones. At 14:00 the grand opening of the LIDBEER 2026 festival took place near the castle walls. A Castle Open-Air disco will take place here from 24:00 to 4:00.
The grand opening of the Lida 703 celebration took place in the square located in Sovetskaya Street at 15:00. In the evening concert programs featuring music bands from sister cities, the vocal ensemble of the Air Force and Air Defense Command, participants of the Creative Lida District marathon, and semi-finalists of Maria Oshurik’s Factor.BY project will take place here. A performance by the Lida Variety Orchestra will conclude the program.
The musical program of the LIDBEER 2026 festival unfolded in three locations: the main stage in Dozhinochnaya Square from 17:00 to 1:00, the LIDBIT STAGE from 12:00 to 00:50, hosting quizzes, interactive sessions with hosts, and performances, and the PEPSI STAGE from 11:00 to 23:00.
The Craftsmen Quarter craft fair operates in Sovetskaya Street and Leninskaya Street from 10:00 to 24:00. The exhibition and contest Brand of Lida District in Mega Format is taking place in the square.
Outside the department store from 13:00 to 19:00 one can visit an interactive exhibition of equipment and uniforms of the Security Services Department of the Internal Affairs Ministry and the Emergencies Ministry. At a site near the library in Leninskaya Street, a library cluster with gaming areas, exhibitions, and promotional campaigns operates from 14:00 to 19:00.
Partner zones, food courts with a grill menu and street food, chill zones, a zipline, and a climbing wall have been open in the LIDBEER 2026 territory from 11:00. The main stage of the festival started working at 12:00.
In the culture and recreation park in Mitskevich Street the festive dance floor «Everybody dances!» will operate on Saturday from 18:00 to 21:00.
