Lukashenko hears report from Mogilev Oblast governor

02.09.2026 | 14:20

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko received a report from Mogilev Oblast Governor Anatoly Isachenko on 2 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The main topics were the situation in the region, with a focus on the harvest campaign and autumn fieldwork, potential issues requiring the president’s attention, and personnel matters.

Anatoly Isachenko reported that the oblast is completing the mass harvest of grain and legume crops. Farmers in Mogilev Oblast are already actively plowing and beginning winter sowing. At the same time, vegetable and silage corn harvesting is underway. Overall, fieldwork is proceeding on schedule, and farmers are fully supplied with everything they need.

Aleksandr Lukashenko inquired about the implementation of his instructions regarding the development of specific areas in the region. The experience of developing the economic and production base of Shklov District is intended to serve as a model for other regions. As for the neighboring Dribin District, the president recently gave conceptual support to proposals for its enlargement, infrastructure development, and agricultural sector improvement. These plans now need to be put into practice.

Personnel matters — the oblast executive committee’s proposals for the appointment of local leaders — were discussed in detail.
