The head of state received a detailed report on harvest progress in the northern region, the situation at processing plants, and personnel management, including efforts regarding young specialists.

The harvest campaign in Vitebsk Oblast has entered the home stretch. As the head of the region assured, if weather conditions remain favorable, the remaining crops can be harvested within two days. Vitebsk Oblast’s contribution to the country’s total grain harvest has surpassed the 900,000-tonne mark.

Separately, the head of state inquired about the performance of the industrial sector, including meat and dairy processing. It was noted that effective work in this area will have a positive impact on the development of the region’s agriculture. One example is the Orsha Meat Canning Plant, which was transferred to the Agrokombinat Dzerzhinsky. A decision was made to increase production at this enterprise, which in turn will require further development of its raw material base.

Personnel management in Vitebsk Oblast was another topic of the report. Particular emphasis in this area is placed on attracting and retaining young specialists. A special program has been developed to support them, which includes not only additional payments but also housing provision.

Furthermore, inviting citizens of Uzbekistan to work at agricultural enterprises in Vitebsk Oblast has proven effective. As Aleksandr Rogozhnik noted, Uzbek specialists working on the region’s farms are highly spoken of.
